The objectives

study computing

In the integrated preparatory course

Passing the Higher National Diploma in business computing is the primary objective giving the student a qualifying value and is a gateway to the enrolment in the Advanced IT Course.

The Integrated Preparatory Course comprises computer training and general education. The IT training provides a grounding in methodology (systems analysis and software engineering and standard technical tools that are required to master the core computer skills.

A good general education is instrumental in making students communicate efficiently with the people around them and adjusting to the professional world. This notably includes intensive study of English together with business communication in French, whether oral or written (précis, business letters, reports …)

In the advanced IT course

The aim is to train tomorrow’s IT professionals that combine expertise with relevant general education facilitating a swift adjustment to the developments of technology and society.

Firms are looking for engineers with certain qualities:

• Open-mindedness (through familiarity with the Anglo-Saxon world, communication skills, study of law and economics, good general education
• Work experience (notably overseas and in English-speaking countries).
