Research and IT monitoring
|
One length ahead |
EPSILAB functions as a nexus of IT monitoring, bringing out the engineer’s new functions and as a permanent workshop of applicative research for the sake of national bodies. It constitutes an immersion in the professional world which nurtures the intellectual curiosity of our student engineers and stimulates their involvement in tomorrow’s technologies.
They also devise new concepts and tools and carry out tests on behalf of ICT firms, in the proprietary and open source environments.
This laboratory allows engineering students to upgrade their competencies through various experiences that complement the school curriculum. Its hallmark is open-mindedness, a sharing attitude and a hands-on approach.
EPSILAB and Its partnership with Microsoft
Upholding these values, EPSILAB tests novel and emerging techniques or WIFI network security systems. Awarded the Student Club Prize by Microsoft in January 2005, EPSILAB will bring its contribution to Microsoft Vista and MS Office upcoming versions.
EPSINUX : IT monitoring of open source solutions
It supports the open source community, makes it possible the comparison between current alternative products and furthers the promotion of open source-based solutions with firms. Thus EPSI engineering students can help companies curtail IT costs, while taking advantage of the reliability and performance of the open source environment.
Applied research
EPSI students’ favourite research fields also include search engines, virtualisation, roaming etc.
